Start with one clear goal

Before choosing a layout, decide what you want a visitor to do. A local service business may want phone calls or quote requests. An online store needs a clear route to its products. Build the homepage around that primary action, then give visitors the details they need to feel ready.

Gather the content customers need

Prepare your business name, services, contact details, service area and brand assets. Explain what you do in everyday language. Use photographs you have permission to publish. Short, useful copy makes the design process smoother and helps customers understand your business quickly.

Check the mobile journey

Open every important page on a phone. Make sure text is readable, buttons are easy to tap and visitors can reach your phone number or inquiry form without hunting for it. Review forms, image loading and navigation as part of the same customer journey.

Review the launch details

Confirm who owns the domain, how hosting will be managed and who can access the website after launch. Test important links and forms, review page titles and descriptions, and plan redirects if you are replacing an existing website. Agree on a handover so you know how to make future updates.
